Greenstream AHU Maintenance Ltd

Keeping Your Building Safe with Regular Fire Damper Testing and Inspection

Greenstream AHU Maintenance Ltd carries out routine inspections on fire damper systems for buildings in London.

Why are fire dampers important?

BS9999 states that all buildings with ductwork must have fire dampers installed and regularly maintained. If a fire is detected in a building, the fire dampers will close, preventing the spread of the fire through the ductwork. To comply with BS9999, you must have your fire dampers inspected at least every two years by a competent person. Spring-operated dampers and those in hospitals (to comply with HTM 03-01) will need to be inspected at least every twelve months. If your building is in an area with high levels of pollution or dust, inspections may need to be carried out more often. Greenstream AHU Maintenance Ltd are competent professionals ready to carry out inspections on your fire damper systems today. We are based in London and can work 7 days a week across the south of England.
